'Fresh & very drinkable 2014 from chenin & semillon with a dollop of muscat d’Alexandrie adding understated floral, grapey charm to the spice & lemon/peach notes. Older oak maturation gives breadth & a modicum of tannic grip. Dry, harmonious & rather elegant.' – Platter's Guide, 4.5*
'54% Chenin Blanc, 42% Semillon and 4% Muscat d’Alexandrie. Matured for 10 months in old oak. On the nose, a floral top note followed by pear and white peach plus a hint of spice. Again, impressive fruit concentration, bright acidity and a savoury finish. Possesses both breadth and depth without being weighty. The Muscat is definitely in evidence and this will irk some but I think it adds a point of interest (cf. Cindy Crawford’s mole). A wine of real interest.' – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 93/100
'Gavin Slabbert’s blend of Chenin Blanc, Semillon and a dash of Muscat d’Alexandrie combines granite and sandstone soils, some older oak and three varieties that have a long history in the Cape.
