Querciabella’s flagship Camartina, is one of a handful of history-making wines, collectively known as Super Tuscans, that dramatically elevated the standing and prestige of Italian wine production on the world stage.

Tasting notes:
'Querciabella's flagship Camartina is flat-out stunning. Camartina is not a huge wine, as so many are in 2015, rather it possesses extraordinary finesse and elegance. Sweet floral notes, red berry fruit, mint and chalk notes give the 2015 soaring top notes, energy and vibrancy. Beautifully persistent and sculpted, the 2015 dazzles with its energy and overall intensity. There is so much to like here. Drinking window 2025 - 2040.' – Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 96/100 (Aug 2019)

'Though somewhat tight, this red exhibits plenty of ripe fruit, sweet spices and refined tannins. The overall balance is there, and this is nearing a new phase in its evolution. The long, fruit-filled aftertaste picks up a saline element. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Drink now through 2038.' – Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 96/100 (Oct 2020) 'Fresh and elegant, with restrained power, showing deep aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, dark chocolate and mint, replicated on a fine-grained, long palate which adds herbs, cedar and cassis.' – Decanter World Wine Awards, 95/100 (Gold)

About Querciabella:
The story of Querciabella began in 1974 when Giuseppe ‘Pepito’ Castiglioni purchased a single hectare of vineyards on a Tuscan hillside. He was an industrial entrepreneur by trade but his dreams and passions were in producing wine. In the mid-1990s Pepito’s son, Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, took over the vineyards and took Querciabella’s reputation to new heights. He saw to it that Querciabella was one of the first wineries in Italy to convert to organic viticulture and was a pioneer in his biodynamic approach. Sebastiano’s passion for animal rights also led to the vegan certification of Querciabella. Today Querciabella’s vineyards span more than 100 hectares, located in Chianti Classico and Maremma and are planted with all the grape varieties that Pepito only dreamed of when purchasing that first hectare of vineyards.
