The Cape Point Vineyards Isliedh 2019 is one of the Wines of the Year in Tim Atkin MW's 2020 South Africa Special Report.

Blend: 74% Sauvignon Blanc and 26% Sémillon

Tasting notes:
'A Cape classic from a single block, with 10 maximum 5-star ratings since 2003 debut. 2019 has 74% sauvignon fermented in oak, semillon in clay then moved to older barrels. On lees a year. Fascinating aromas, with exotic & spicily perfumed elements adding to complexity. Creamy texture, lemony minerality; lingering finish testifies to fruit concentration. A long life ahead.' – Platter's Guide, 5* (96/100)

'Featuring the highest ever percentage of Semillon (26%) under Riandri Visser's stewardship, this Sauvignon-dominated white is consistently among the best Bordeaux blends in the Cape. Wild yeast fermented in its entirety, it's a stunning achievement, with scented, nuanced 30% new wood, notes of grapefruit pith and umami, a herbal undertone and saline, crunchy, mouth-watering acidity. Drink 2022-27.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2020, 96/100

Alc: 13.5%
