'The ambitious restoration of the Château de La Chaize and its vineyards—including a transition to organic farming—continues apace, and the results are beginning to manifest themselves in the glass. With these new releases, this property immediately won itself a place on my shortlist of domaines to visit during my next tasting trip in the Beaujolais.' – William Kelley, Wine Advocate (2020)

Tasting notes:
'The 2018 Brouilly Les Deux Amis epitomises the Brouilly appellation. It offers lots of perfume on the nose with notes of fruit pastels. There are lifted sour cherries on the palate with a silky and soft finish.' – Wine Cellar (Jan 2021)

About Château de la Chaize:
The original estate of Château de la Chaize was founded in 1667 by François de La Chaize d’Aix, a French army captain. The beautiful property is located at the foot of Mont Brouilly, in southern Beaujolais. Soon after purchasing the estate, the château collapsed, regrettably killing François’s two sons and only heirs. He hired esteemed architects and landscapers to rebuild the château and create the majestic gardens which the estate is still famed for today. The winery remained in the Chaize family until 2017 when it was sold to the Gruy family. The property has over 90 hectares of vineyards and continuously produces wines of excellent quality.
