Clemens Busch, Marienburg Spätlese 2019 Bottle size: 750ml
Germany, Mosel‘The 2019 Marienburg Spätlese is coolish, clear and flinty on the precise, deep, very elegant and well-articulated nose. Round and lush on the palate, this is a charmingly round, piquant, elegant and stimulatingly salty Spätlese with great precision, finesse and grip. Gorgeous and made to age for decades. Moderately sweet, enormously piquant. Drink 2020-2050.’ – Stephan Reinhardt,Wine Advocate, 94/100

About Weingut Clemens Busch:
Clemens is the 5th-generation winemaker at his family estate and began using organic practices in 1984. Later a pioneer in biodynamics, Clemens Busch is now a role model for natural, but precise German winemaking. Unlike most of the Mosel region, however, Clemens focuses on dry, elegant Rieslings that express the complex terroir of this historic region. Their unique soils in the town of Pündericherallow them to produce many iterations of the Riesling grape. Clemens Busch is based on the 3 types of slate – red, blue and grey – each imparting different characteristics and styling.
