Peter and Max are the names of the growers who supplied the fruit for the first vintage of this wine. The fruit sources have since changed but the name remains to honor the beginnings of this multi-vineyard Pinot Noir blend.

Tasting notes:
'A blend of four vineyards, three from the Hemel-en-Aarde and one high altitude Elandskloof vineyard. The nose speaks of old world Pinot Noir with classical mineral restraint, black bramble berries and earthy black currant with sweet, freshly cut straw aromatics. The palate is wonderfully crystalline and pure underpinned by a mouth watering acidity, fabulous varietal intensity, crunchy red berry energy and the most harmonious silky sleek texture. Hard to imagine how you could make a better Pinot Noir at this price point.' – Greg Sherwood MW, 93/100

'Grapes sourced variously from Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, Overberg and Elandskloof. 60% whole-bunch fermentation. A hint of reduction before red and black fruit and some spice on the nose. 'A bolder, richer vintage showing mulberry, cherry and sweet spice on the nose. The palate is full and fruit forward, with both fresh and bruised strawberry and raspberry alongside a light smokiness and some fynbos. With sturdy phenolic grip from a slightly higher whole bunch component and a crisp acidity to back up the fruit, this wine promises to age well beyond 2028.' – Winemaker
