The Château de Bois-Brinçon from the Latin Boscus Breceii 'petit-bois' is probably one of the oldest vineyards in Anjou. The viticultural history begins in 1219 while the Saint Jean Baptiste Chapter of Angers decides to settle land fallow on the condition that they are planted in vines under two years.
Present in six communes, Château de Bois-Brinçon has a diversity of wines that can be found throughout its wines, all representative of the terroirs from which they come. Xavier wanted, more than anything, to transcribe this notion of landscapes that we discover plot by plot in his wines thanks to the parcel vinification.
This table wine comes from a plot of sandstone with sponges on chalk tuffeau of 40 acres. The aunish pinnacle or black chenin, is 80 years old. The harvest is manual and made in boxes of 10 kg.
The clusters are greyed out. A maceration of 18 days. The grapes are then renneted in the box and returned to the press directly. The wine is then aged in vats for the next 10 months.
Lot of elegance in this bottle with a dominant spicy finish: Sichuan pepper note and violet aromas.
