Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Pinot Noir 2017
Featured artist: Alfred Krenz
'Continuing the subtle changes that have occurred under Emul Ross, the Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir is now a worthy stable mate for the estate’s Chardonnay. This shows the acidity of the 2017 vintage, with a fine perfume of wild strawberry and dried mushroom, subtle wood and a dense, complex, savoury finish. Drinkn 2019-27.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2018, 95/100

Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Pinot Noir 2016
Featured artist: Richard Scott
'Much more Burgundian in style, this reflects a low-yielding vintage with crisp acidity and fine tannins in charge on the palate. There isn't the same amount of up-front richness as the 2015 but Burgundy fans will love the gravelly precision and tension here, enhanced with use of 5% whole-bunch. This is a real terroir driven wine. Dark-cherry and spice notes on the palate with a long, lingering finish. Has a definite hint of Gevrey-Chambertin. Drinking Window 2020 - 2032.' – Andy Howard MW, Decanter 95/100
Alc: 13.9% | RS: 1.8 g/L | TA: 5.8 g/L | PH: 3.53
Hamilton Russell Vineyards, Pinot Noir 2015
Featured artist: Moses Tladi
'After some disappointments in recent years, the Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir seems to be back on track under the hand of Emul Ross. Using a fruit salad of clones, and benefiting from more unvirused material and less obvious wood, it’s savoury, structured and complex with an undertone of mint and ferrous concentration. Drink 2017-24.' – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2016, 94/100
