Tasting notes on the 2019 vintage:
'From Paardeberg Pinotage which underwent a semi-carbonic fermentation. Very attractive notes of musk and rose before red fruit and white pepper. Light-bodied and entirely charming – lovely fruit expression, fresh acidity and fine tannins.' – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 92/100

Winemaker's notes:
'Halagasha' is the Xhosa term which this South Africa tribe use when celebrating the score of a soccer goal. Pinotage is a celebration of what we can achieve with this local variety in South Africa and Halagasha is just one of many examples of this diverse style.

Whole bunch fermented under semi-carbonic conditions for 8 days in stainless steel tanks.

Producer information Intellego Wines are terroir driven from the Swartland Appellation. The Swartland experiences a warm, dry climate which is favourable to grape varietals such as Chenin Blanc, Syrah, Cinsaut and Mourvedre. By using small pockets of land on different sites, Intellego is able to produce wines with different personalities and characters. Intellego's philosophy is to use minimal intervention and a hands-on approach during the winemaking process. They also follow organic practices.
