Tasting notes:
'Leafy fragrance & hint of cedar a lovely intro to unusually dry & restrained 5-way Bordeaux red 2010. Light-stepping, balanced elegance belies powerful alcohol, but flavour length reveals subtle fruit intensity, untramelled by oak. Drinks well but will mature, like maiden 2009 (4.5 stars).' – Platter's Guide, 5*

'A blend of 32% Cabernet Franc, 27% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec and the wine spent some 18 months in French oak, a mere 5% new. “I work with some special little pockets of vineyard and expression of fruit is my primary objective, says Keet. The wine shows red and black fruit, fresh herbs and an attractive chocolate note. The nose is potent and the palate is rich and full but not cumbersome – extraction is well judged and there’s nice fresh acidity. Whereas the 2009 was particularly refined, the 2010 has more fruit succulence and breadth of structure. Luxurious but not ingratiating.' – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 92/100

About Keet:
After 15 years at the helm of producing award-winning wines at Cordoba, Christopher Keet began to entertain the thought of producing his own wines. He spent three months travelling in South America with his wife Léanne and children Robyn and Grant in 2008 and it was during this memorable adventure that he finally decided to follow his dream of producing his own wine.
