Dear *|FNAME|*,
Warm up this winter with our exciting new tasting line-up! We kick off with the latest releases from Crystallum and Gabriëlskloof, led by Peter-Allan himself, then take a deep dive into our newest imports. We’ll find brilliant buys from Burgundy 2020, then travel through Italy – from Piedmont to Sicily. We return to local shores with a look at SA’s exceptional 2020 vintage. Fine wine lovers with a thirst for knowledge are invited to join our Premium WSET Level 3 course this July, in partnership with the International Wine Education Centre.
Crystallum & Gabriëlskloof: ‘Some of SA’s finest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays’ – R400
Cape Town: Wednesday, 31 May, Wine Cellar Observatory
‘These are some of South Africa's finest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays,’ notes Neal Martin of Vinous. Be the first to taste the latest releases from Crystallum and Gabriëlskloof. Led by Peter-Allan Finlayson, we’ll journey through the 2022 Crystallum Chardonnay and Pinot Noir single vineyards and discover what it takes to produce wines of this stature. And if that's not convincing enough, see how Peter-Allan’s deft hand has revolutionised the face of the Overberg with the Gabriëlskloof Landscape Series Syrah and Cabernet Franc.
Burgundy 2020: Brilliant buys across the board – R675
Cape Town: Wednesday, 14 June, Wine Cellar Observatory
Johannesburg: Thursday, 15 June, Dunkeld West Centre
Burgundy produces some of the most expensive and collectible wines in the world. While it might feel like price rises are never-ending, Wine Cellar has your back with incredible value from the brilliant 2020 vintage. ‘How can a vintage so extreme produce wines that are so vibrant and fresh?’ asks William Kelley of the Wine Advocate. Join us as we shine the spotlight on the lesser-known regional appellations and new generations.
LA DOLCE VITA: New releases from Piedmont, Tuscany & Sicily – R620
Cape Town: Wednesday, 28 June, Wine Cellar Observatory
Johannesburg: Thursday, 29 June, Dunkeld West Centre
With our new Italian shipment just landed, and the week spent travelling across Piedmont and Chianti Classico, we can’t wait to share the latest releases from our favourite producers. Taste your way through Italy with the volcanic wines of Mount Etna, from 2020 and 2021; classy Chianti Classicos from 2018 and 2019; and our 2018 Barolos and Barbarescos. We’ll feature wines from top families, including Terre Nere, Querciabella, Marengo, GD Vajra, Pio Cesare, Giulia Negri and the world’s best co-operative – Produttori del Barbaresco.

This stellar line-up will include Rall's 98-point Ava Syrah, a classic Northern Rhône Syrah from Yves Cuilleron, Stellenbosch big guns MR de Compostella and Le Riche, a sensational Chardonnay from Lismore Estate, and Burgundy’s Héritiers du Comte Lafon.
