From biodynamically farmed vineyards in Verzy and Verzenay, two Grand Cru sites in the Montagne de Reims. It spent 48 – 60 months on the lees.

Tasting notes:
'This is a beautiful wine—crisp yet balanced by ripe fruit and and an equally important tight texture. With red currant flavors, intense acidity and concentration, it can be drunk now for its fresh fruit character but will be better from 2018.' – Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 93/100 (Jan 2017)

'Crisp and lacy in texture, this carries a vinous mix of steeped cherry and raspberry fruit, graphite and pastry dough flavors, with a firm, focused finish of toast and spice. Disgorged January 2017.' – Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator, 92/100

'The NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru is a gorgeous Pinot-based Rosé. Intensely floral and mineral, with terrific cut, the Rosé Grand Cru has so much to offer. I very much like the transparency and sense of energy here. The blend of 65% Pinot and 35% Chardonnay yields a Rosé of real class and personality. Small red berries, white flowers, white pepper and mint all add closing layers of nuance. Disgorged: January, 2018.' – Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, 91/100 (Dec 2019)

About Hugues Godmé:
The Godmés have been vignerons in Verzenay since the 19th century. Hugues joined the family domaine, Godmé Père et Fils, in 1976. Due to viticultural differences, he separated from his sister and started domaine Hugues Godmé in 2015. He farms his 40 parcels, planted over 11 hectares, biodynamically. These are spread over 4 communes: Pinot Noir from the two Grands Crus of Verzenay and Verzy; and from two Premier Cru sites, Villers-Marmery (Chardonnay) and Villedommange (Meunier).
